Duration: September 2021 – February 2023

Purpose: The purpose of the ONGteca project is to support at least 30 NGOs from the North-East Region of the country, mainly from Iași County, organizations that provide services in underserved areas.
During the project, NGOs will be supported to go through an important process of organizational development, with these main directions: to increase the capacity of response to existing needs, to transfer know-how to have more visibility, impact and sustainability in the community.

Which organizations are targeted by the ONGteca?

We target grassroots NGOs providing services in areas and for underserved groups – human rights, youth, civic and environmental activities. NGOs who face challenges or needs in key areas such as strategic planning and the development of mechanisms to ensure financial sustainability, attracting and maintaining competent human resources, communication and cooperation with local stakeholders.

How are NGOs supported?

Mains activities proposed in the project

· A complex organizational development program, which will include training, mentoring and coaching in strategic areas of development, such as: organizational management, leadership, financial management, writing applications for financing and project management, fundraising and communication, governance and advocacy.
· Community Fund – a mechanism for collaboration between the NGO sector and local public and private funders.
· Activities and events designed to increase the potential for collaboration and innovation in the NGO environment.
· Swimathon – community fundraising platform.
· Organizational development activities for the partners in the project.

The ONGteca project is implemented by the Fundația Serviciilor Sociale Bethany, in partnership with Fundația Comunitară Iași and Asociația CIVICA, and benefits from a 248.754,10 euro grant, from Active Citizens Fund Romania, program funded by Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway through EEA Grants 2014-2021.
